Perfectionism

She wanted to make some slaw,
but as soon as beginning,
found a flaw.
Cabbage too purple,
carrots not orange enough.
For a perfectionist,
making slaw can be tough.
"There’s a flaw in my slaw!"
she shouted out loud.
She had been alone,
but soon gathered a crowd.
We all came to see,
what was the fuss?
How could some slaw,
cause such a cuss?
Just a moment ago,
the neighborhood was at peace,
but now we all wondered,
when would the agony cease?
Sure everyone liked,
an occasional salad,
but was this coleslaw,
worth such a crude ballad?
