Will Hard Work Save the Economy?

Any circumstance, no matter how difficult, provides an opportunity for us to choose who we want to ‘be’ in response to that condition. Difficult challenges, even extreme challenges, provide an opportunity for the virtues of patience, humility, compassion, and courage to shine through. The soul, which is alive in the Heart of every human being, has an opportunity to shine in challenging circumstances, including extreme work conditions.

This Place

This place

in the Heart

is so simple, so silent, so peaceful …

there is nothing to say….

and at the same time

this place

is so encompassing, so fulfilling, so joyful…

that all the words that can be spoken

and all the books that can be written

could never finish describing

this place….

this place of unconditional love

Perfectionism

by: Mahi Hawronsky

She wanted to make some slaw,
but as soon as beginning,
found a flaw.

Cabbage too purple,
carrots not orange enough.
For a perfectionist,
making slaw can be tough.

"There’s a flaw in my slaw!"
she shouted out loud.
She had been alone,
but soon gathered a crowd.

We all came to see,
what was the fuss?
How could some slaw,
cause such a cuss?

Just a moment ago,
the neighborhood was at peace,
but now we all wondered,
when would the agony cease?

Sure everyone liked,
an occasional salad,
but was this coleslaw,
worth such a crude ballad?

Bliss

a poem by Mahi

Free falling
i am consumed by heart's gravity.

Guarding against
putting up my guard

dissolved
I burst forth into infinite form...

what from a distance
sounded like silence

Drawing closer
I hear a heart beat

closer still
only laughter...

Effortlessly I make effort
as if by trying
I can more quickly become
who I already am..

Swimming in silence
listening to its love songs

drinking this nothingness
so delicious
I am ready to burst

and I wonder
why do I settle for less
than total emptiness?

I struggle without struggling
I suff

The Greatest Feeling In the World, Part VI

AWARENESS allows a person to understand themselves and to understand others. This AWARENESS allows us to even forgive those who have hurt us because we realize that those who intentionally hurt others are living with an internal hell themselves in which they feel like others are attacking them.

Most souls on earth have a great deal of unhealed ego with glimmers of pure Heart shining through from time to time. It is the glimmers of Heart that allow the world to go on. It is the moments of clear awareness that hold the world together.

The Greatest Feeling In the World, Part V

The first step toward the loss of joy is fear. But what exactly is fear? If we are all made of energy then what is this fear made of?

Fear is a denial of our heart. Fear is a denial of our true essence. But since denial cannot cause the Heart to dissolve, fear is an illusion. Fear creates an illusion that seems real. But since fear cannot destroy the essence of who we really are, fear and death are not ultimately real. Fear creates an experience. Fear creates a nightmare. But fear cannot destroy the dreamer. Fear is but a dream in which we deny life.

The Greatest Feeling In the World, Part IV

In the core of each individual lives the TRUE Self. This Self lives in the Heart and feels at peace. In some cultures this core part of the self is called The Being in the Heart. This is our true Being.

In this place, deep within, we feel at peace with others…. even others who appear to be enemies. The Being in the Heart feels total bliss, total love. Some even describe this feeling as ECSTASY. It is an ecstasy, a feeling of bliss even greater than what can be felt through drugs, and there are no hangovers or negative side effects.
