Making the Shift

The heart is not a philosophy.
The heart is not an idea, a religion, a form of government.
The heart is a real place of Being
When we remember to “BE” in this place, our world comes into balance.

To Make The Shift we must first awaken. This can happen here and now. We may awaken to our real self, the self that exist beyond our surface level identity. This self does not require any philosophy to uphold it. It does not require an institution. It does not require intellectualization. When all of these have passed away, the true self still remains. The foundation of the true self is pure being, an unconditional place that is not dependent on external conditions.

Many of us have learned grand philosophies and gone on vast journeys only to adopt a belief system that maintains the status quo of fear and conflict in the world; a philosophy that strengthens the ego and claims that one ‘belief’ is better than all others. Within each of us there is a natural Being, a beingness that does not require belief to uphold it. This inner self is completely secure.

When we identify with the unconditional Heart, competition and conflict dissolve, cooperation and creativity expand. All conditions in the universe have arisen from the unconditional. All forms are born out of the unformed.

The mind is a condition. The Heart is unconditional. When we shift identity from mind to Heart, we awaken from the dream, and meet the dreamer.

This may sound like a spiritual endeavor, but it is real and as scientific as it is spiritual. There is an entire organization, The Institute of HeartMath, that details the science behind living from the Heart. Go to HeartMath.com to find out more. HeartMath provides an abundance of practical tools and information on reducing stress on a daily basis and staying calm during times of crises.

We live in a world that is approaching tremendous imbalance. We may soon encounter crises on many levels: economically, environmentally, socially, and personally. Making a shift in identity is a practical way to live in this transforming world. This shift can allow us to join together, cooperate in circles of connection and dissolve the illusions that have led to this imbalance.

Another organization with useful insights can be found at Tribes.com. They provide very specific and practical information on how to function as a community. There are now thousands of schools worldwide using this information in the classroom. Although geared towards education, the books, videos, and information provided on their website can be applied to any group. Their full name is Tribes Learning Community, a New Way of Learning and Being Together.

As we discover our inner source of security we realize that we all are connected through that same source. The competition between religions and political groups can dissolve. Hierarchies of fear can transform into circles of love. A world of cooperation and diversity can flourish. You are invited.
